Weekend availability is required. The duties of an Airport Lounge Cleaner include but are not limited to: Works to ensure clubroom other specified areas are kept in a clean and orderly condition. Sees that clubroom and facilities are cleaned and maintained to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with sanitation regulations.Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms including picking up trash, washing dirty dishes, restocking and arranging magazines and newspapers in an orderly fashion, etc.Restocks bar supplies including; chaffing dishes, crock pots, trays, coffee, cups, glasses, etc. in all service areas and other work areas so that health standards are met.Cleans dishware and operates dishwasherCleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners and/or shampooers.Empties wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.Cleans restrooms and disinfects sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, floors, etc. Replenishes bathroom supplies, polishes metalwork including; fixtures and fittings.Sweeps, mops, vacuums, using brooms, mops and vacuum cleaners. Other floor work may be required such as: scrubbing, waxing and polishing floors.Cleans breakrooms/kitchens. Disinfects sinks, countertops, tables, chairs, refrigerators, etc.Replenishes break room supplies.Dusts furniture, fixtures and equipment, partitions, etc.Empties wastebaskets and recyclables and transports to disposal area.Washes walls and woodwork, clean windows, door panels, partitions and window sills, etc.Helps with deliveries by loading and unloading product.Carries linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts.Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the housekeeping / janitorial fields.Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.Maintains current city and state approved badges and permits, as applicableAdheres to all local and state health department and other state agency regulationsCLEANER JOB REQUIREMENTSAbility to successfully pass airport authority security background check. High school diploma or GED is preferred. Related background in housekeeping or janitorial service. Must be at least 18 or 21 years of age as applicable by law. Must be able to handle multiple tasks and possess verbal communication skills necessary to communicate with customers, passengers, and co-workers. Able to work rotating shifts including weekends (i.e. Friday, Saturday and Sunday), holidays and days off.
